Shiny Object Society teaches a method for planning, building and launching small digital products. We don’t promise that you’ll make any money by using it, and nothing on this site, in our courses, or in our emails is a guarantee of earnings or results.

What happens after you buy depends on things only partly in anyone’s control, including:

• how much time and effort you put in, and whether you follow through
• your skills, experience and existing audience
• the product you choose, your market, and your competition
• timing, the economy, and plenty of plain luck

Many people who buy any course, including ours, don’t finish it or don’t launch.

Any revenue figures, pricing examples, case studies or student stories we share are illustrations of what’s possible, not what’s typical or what you should expect. They describe one person’s results in their own circumstances.

If we feature a result that is better than what most students see, we’ll say so and describe what students can generally expect. If someone we feature was paid, given free access, or has any other connection to us, we’ll disclose it alongside their story.

Our revenue calculator and similar tools show math based on the numbers you put in. They’re for planning, not predictions, and the output is only as realistic as the assumptions behind it.

When we talk about what a product could earn or how a launch might go, those are opinions and projections, not facts. Real outcomes can be very different.

Our content is education, not legal, financial, tax or accounting advice. For decisions in those areas, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.

We sometimes mention tools and services we use. If we ever earn a commission or other benefit from a recommendation, we’ll say so next to it.
